BREATHLESS
by: Walter Wykes (1969-
)
- REATHLESS
- I am breathless in your arms
-
- You hover over me
- a dark angel
- your wings spread
- folded round me
- moving slowly
- hovering
- hovering
-
- I can just make out your shape
- your outline
- the curve of your breast
-
- I strain to see more
- but you cling to the darkness
- It is your shroud
- your temple
- the nothingness that binds us together
-
- I seek your warmth
- your dark river
-
- I float downstream effortlessly
- I let the current take me where it will
- through your secret passageways
- your ancient caverns
-
- Somewhere in the darkness
- I hear your soft scream
- your muffled cry
-
- Breathless
- I am breathless in your arms
